Make sure you are eligible to vote!

Time is running out if you want to apply for a postal vote and now is also a good time to make sure that you are on the electoral register and eligible to vote on 2 May.

I've copied a DCC press release below with further details:

People in County Durham are being urged not to lose their vote as the deadline for registering draws near.

County and parish council elections take place on Thursday, 2 May and anyone wishing to vote needs to be on the electoral register.

To find out if you are registered, or to request a registration form, contact Durham County Council electoral services on 03000 26 12 12 or email electoralservices@durham.gov.uk.

Anyone who is listed on the electoral register can request a postal vote. You should also contact the electoral services team to apply for a postal vote.

The deadline for returning registration forms and postal vote applications is Wednesday, 17 April.
