Incidents of fly-tipping back on the increase

After a brief period of relative calm we have received a marked increase over the past week or so in reports of incidents of fly-tipping in our area.

We reported one incident near to the Glenholme Terrace allotments for clearance last week, and just over the weekend we had another report of fly-tipping at the top of Deneholme, on the approach to the beach (please see images below).

All incidents have now been reported for collection but, as it would appear that the warmer weather might bring with it an increase in fly-tipping in these areas and others, we will contact the Neighbourhood Warden team at county hall and ask them to consider installing covert CCTV cameras in specific locations.

In the meantime, if you know of any other incidents of fly-tipping in and around our villages, please let us know and we will arrange for clearance as soon as possible.
