Works are underway to reinstate the embankment and grass verges along the B1281 in Blackhall Colliery. This follows reports I’d received earlier this year from residents concerned about soil spilling down from the sloping embankment into the pathway.
The council's maintenance team had also expressed concerns that the gradient of the slope was too steep for their grass cutters to operate so the company carrying out the works has agreed to regrade the embankment to enable grass-cutting operations to continue after reseeding works have been completed.
