Street lighting faults at Hazel Drive, Hesleden

I’ve received a report from a resident this morning that all the street lights at Hazel Drive are faulty. I’ve submitted a report to the council asking that repairs are carried out as soon as possible. If you would like to follow progress on the council’s portal the CRM report number is FS 2484 42528. However, please be aware of the guidance issued below:


Whilst the majority of faults will be repaired within a 10 day response time it can take longer if there is a major fault such as a problem with the power supply, a cable fault or we need to order parts. Please be assured that in such cases we will return to complete the repair as soon as reasonably practicable.

Often the electricity supply company also needs to be involved in the repair, for example if there are multiple street lights not working in one location. The electricity supply company is not part of the Council and it can take up to 35 working days for them to attend. This is outside the control of the Council and is governed by OFGEM.
