Please note below the latest information received on the weather forecast, gritting routes, road closures and other council winter services:


Today’s Forecast
Snow showers continuing to feed in on a cold east to southeast wind through today, this fresh to strong, with temperatures again struggling to rise above freezing.
The risk of further snow showers through this evening and overnight with limited clearer breaks. It will become very cold once more with ice likely. Remaining rather windy. 
Further snow showers through the course of tomorrow and again, brightness will be limited. Some of the showers may turn a little more sleety later on. Staying cold with a stiff easterly wind.
There is high confidence that RSTs will be below zero tonight. RSTs may behave erratically in any snow showers. Confidence is lower for snow timings and accumulations, with snow amounts expected to vary across the region.

-          Today’s gritting plans – Our online system utilises live tracking from our fleet of gritters to provide an actual view of the priority network being gritted countywide.  In addition, information is provided to advise which roads we plan to grit and which roads have been gritted on a daily basis.
